Types of Plastic Bottles
The plastic bottle material code system is designed to easily indicate the material from which a plastic bottle or plastic jar is made. This can be especially beneficial for recycling purposes. The system uses a triangular-shaped symbol that manufacturers mark their plastic containers with. It is composed of three arrows with a number in the center representing the material type.
